I'm on YouTube! - and other reasons why I was gone

okok, I'm sorry, honestly!
I know I haven't been active here for... goddesses know how long... but there are good reasons for it!
So please hear me out, before you kill me, alright?


Reason Nr. 1: The shitty Internet in our village.

I'm not kidding. Our Internet is kinda... shit.
Now, over the last year, my boyfriend found a new way to spend his time on the PC in the evenings: Watching Streams on Twitch. And while that isn't something bad... our Internet makes it bad.
So basically, we are not able to both do freely on the Internet what we want to do at the same time - because we just don't have enough Download Speed.
It's hard for him to watch streams lag-free on a accepting quality, watching a YouTube Video for me at the same time? Hard.
Browsing deviantArt? IMPOSSIBLE.
No Kidding. Browsing dA is hard on it's own, making even YouTube lag for me - but it completely stops streams from working. Admittedly, this is mostly due to the fact, that I open tons of tabs with art at the same time - but that's how I browse dA - I prefer it this way, and I want to keep it that way.
So browsing dA became a Night-Time-Only activity for me. No issue, really. But it also became impossible to browse dA on weekends, and art stockpiled, and when the other reasons came along... there was simply no time for dA anymore.
Speaking of which:


Reason Nr. 2: Bored of Art and the need to game more.

It's as simple as it sounds.
Over the time, dA felt more like a chore, then enjoyment. I felt like seeing the same pictures over and over again.
For the most time, what drew me back were the Pokemon Nuzlocke Comics I so enjoy - but even they kinda started to grew over my head.
Also, I had less and less time the day to actually play games, so... I started to game during the nights and procrastinate dA.
And sorry, I'm not sorry. I needed it, and I enjoyed it
And when I finally was up for something new and creative again, Reason Nr. 3 came into place:


Reason Nr. 3: I'm on YouTube now!!!

Yep, in November I started out with my own YouTube Channel. And I'm loving it!
There were two reasons why I started my own channel:
No. 1 - I wanted to improve on my english skills, because I barely get to SPEAK english and
No. 2 - For fun :3
And both reasons are so far very successful
I have tons of fun and my english gets better and better. Heck, my first video? I stuttered around nervously. Now I'm far more confident in speaking my mind - not perfect, but it's a great improvement!
So what's my channel about?
Mystery Box Unboxings!
For those of you who don't know: Mystery Boxes are monthly subscription services.
Each month you get a box full of neat goodies fitting to the Box's theme. You never know what you get, but it's usually worth more then you initially paid.
I'm constantly subscribed to two of these Boxes (Arcade Block and SciFi Block), and soon this will be upped to three (Gaming Lootcrate) - so there are two (soon three) videos a month guarantied.
And while I started with some troubles (I only had a video cam that didn't allowed me to see what I filmed, so in the first three videos, the items aren't always properly in the screen... oops...), it runs smoothly now, and I think I get better and better in making these videos
Alongside of this, I only made a Special Series of Videos for Lego Dimensions, so that's there too
So why did this stopped me from dA? Because Video Editing costs a lot of time - and uploading these videos with my mentioned bad internet... yeah, dA was impossible

So.... I hope I can get back to dA soonish. Until then, I'm active on Twitter ( twitter.com/Bukyoku_AlSara ) and YouTube ( Rutana Unboxing ) - so I'm not just vanished from the Net ^^
